  The Alberta Court of Appeal ruled last friday that a young Jehovah's Witness from Calgary will have to continue getting blood transfusions. The 16-year-old girl, who suffers from leukemia, is not mature enough to make a decision that's crucial to her treatment, the high court said in upholding earlier rulings by lower courts.

Fans count at least 50 Prince songs the artist can no longer perform as a Jehovah's Witness due to their explicit content, including hits such as "Little Red Corvette" and "Cream."

  Should gays be allowed to adopt?

  i watched an interesting program last night (i believe on primetime), wherein diane sawyers interviewed rosie o'donnell.. the topic centered on gays and adoption.

  rosie recently came out of the closet in order to extend her support to florida gays who are prohibited by law to adopt.

  rosie, herself, has three children.. some of these gays, by the way, are foster parents.

  In the Netherlands gays are free to adopt children (and also to marry).
  In my opinion it’s okay if they have a stable relationship.

  President Bush

  in the netherlands and many other european countries president bush of the united states of america is considered as a man with low intellectual capabilities and a narrow minded unilateral view on the rest of the world who uses one-liners in stead of founded argumentation.

  but in the us he is seen by most americans as a wise and great statesman, a marvellous leader in difficult times.. i am interested how jws in congregations from different countries look at president bush although they usually dont openly have an opinion about politicians.

  opinions from ex-jws are of course also welcome.. rado vleugel.

  r51785 ***It has been my observation that many Europeans are puzzled by Americans. I believe this is because their opinions of us are formed by watching cowboy movies.***

  We don’t live in the fifties anymore! I can’t remember when I saw my last cowboy movie...

  In Europe we are exposed to many American influences: music, television, books, junk food, the Watchtower etc. etc.

  Almost every household can receive CNN, watch David Letterman, Oprah and other programs. Also many Europeans like to travel. Most of my friends have visited the States more than once.

  Teejay: *** Been to the U.S. lately, Rado or read any American newspapers?*** It has been several years ago I visited the US. I have read some Amarican Newspapers lately, and I watch CNN daily.
  *** Not all 280 million Americans think alike.***
  Sorry it sounded as a generalisation. I said by most not by all Americans.

  Francois: *** why do you feel qualified to judge our leaders*** It was just an observation, not a judgement.

  Amazing: *** He went to Yale, I believe and did well ...*** I was aware of the fact he visited Yale University. I even heard, but am not sure, that he is the President with the highest education.

  i am happy to report all links within the silentlambs website are working at this time.

  a server was attacked that held part of the information and it was caused to crash.

  fortunately all information has several backups and we were able to restore the data.

  as an ex-jw its sometimes difficult to provide neutral information on jehovahs witnesses and the watchtower society.

  on the internet there is a bulk of information available provided by former members and religious organizations that are anti-jw.

  on my site i have also many articles that are critical towards the jws.

  on the internet there is a bulk of information available provided by former members and religious organizations that are anti-jw.

  on my site i have also many articles that are critical towards the jws.
